Poltavaplemservis Expands Strategic Cooperation with the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics
Poltavaplemservis and the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics named after M.V. Zubets have agreed to expand their strategic cooperation in the field of cattle breeding and herd reproduction.

Strategic Partnership in Cattle Breeding and Genetic Improvement
As part of this partnership, Poltavaplemservis will offer farms a selection consolidation service — a long-term herd improvement tool designed not only to select bulls for individual performance traits, but to systematically закреп desired characteristics in future generations.
This service is based on the scientific methodologies developed by the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics named after M.V. Zubets, Ukraine’s leading research institution in animal breeding, genetics, and reproduction. For more than 90 years, the Institute has been developing and implementing national breeding indices that reflect real production conditions, feeding systems, and management practices of Ukrainian farms.
Within this cooperation, we:
- analyse daughter performance data;
- apply Ukrainian breeding and genetic indices;
- design insemination schemes that deliver measurable, on-farm results, not theoretical projections.
This approach complements Poltavaplemservis’ core service of individual bull selection tailored to specific farm goals — milk yield, fat and protein content, calving ease, longevity, and reproductive stability.
The strategic partnership with the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics named after M.V. Zubets is another step toward the systemic development of Ukrainian cattle breeding, where decisions are data-driven and every semen dose works toward a predictable, economically justified outcome.
